Lister Storm
Lister produce the storm as " a comfortable, practical, high performance road car capable of carrying four people in luxury..." It is certainly a very purposeful looking car, with a 7 litre twin supercharged V12 engine producing 396 bhp giving the Storm more than enough performance to frighten better known supercars. Each Storm is also unique, having been built to the clients exact specifications .
The Lister Storm was designed to be a practical supercar if such a thing could exist. It was designed to be able to carry 4 adults along with a reasonable amount of luggage. Powered by a 594 HP V12, the Storm can propel those 4 adults from 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and up to a top speed of 208 MPH. Unfortunately, thanks to a $350,000 price tag only 4 Storms were ever sold.

The Lister Storm was a homologated racing car built by Lister Cars of the United Kingdom beginning in 1993 . Called by some a supercar , the Storm used the largest V12 engine ever fitted to a production road car up to that time, a 7.0 L (6996 cc/426 in³) Jaguar unit. Due to the high US$ 350,000 price of the vehicle, only four examples were produced before production of the road-going Storm ceased. The Lister company continues in producing racing models to this day.Only 3 Storms survive today. The bored and stroked 2-valve Lister V12 produced 407 kW (546 hp) and 790 N·m (580 ft·lbf) of torque. The front-engined rear wheel drive car weighed 1664 kg (3668 lb), and was capable of sprinting to 60 mph (97 km/h) in just 4.1 seconds.
Before creating Storm, Lister only made business as tuning Jaguar XJS. It used to enlarge the Jaguar V12 from 5.3 litres to a full 7 litres, incorporated Cosworths lightweight piston, valves etc thus capable of as much as 600 horsepower and huge torque. This engine was carried over to the Storm supercar directly.
However, just a powerful engine is not enough. Lister, for the first time, created its own chassis - aluminium space frame structure, which was claimed to provide better crumple in crash than carbon fiber monocoque ( but they did not mention the inferior rigidity / weight ratio ). Gearbox was Getrags 6-speeder. All these were covered by a body consisted of aluminium and carbon fiber panels. The aerodynamics is not too impressive - Cd. 0.35, the styling is also odd, especially is the large mound on the front engine lid that accommodate the huge V12. However, its strongest aspect is the interior - sufficient space as a 2+2, which is rarely seen in this class of cars. Leather and wood surrounded everywhere accompany with other luxury items made it more like a Ferrari 456GT than other 200mph supercars.
