Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder
Spyker Cars may not have impressed in its F1 venture, but it certainly has made up for it off the track. The exclusive sportscar-maker has kept true to its promise made in March at the Geneva Auto Show by debuting the first prototype of the Spyder version of its second-generation Spyker C8 Aileron. The Aileron has an all-aluminum Audi 4.2-liter V8 engine producing 400bhp and generating 354lbs of torque at 3,400rp.
The engine is paired to a manual six-speed gearbox, driving the rear wheels via a limited slip differential. The design of the vents and other parts of the body has a clear inspiration in aeronautics. The model has additional alloy wheels 19 with 235/35 decks on the front and 295/30 at the rear. Also use a LED light system for the rear brake lights, and intermittent position.
Like the Aileron coupe, the convertible offers more room than the short-wheelbase C8 it replaces. And because Spyker had the foresight to engineer the Aileron as a convertible from the start, the aluminum frame retains much of the rigidity of its coupe counterpart. The Aileron Spyder is characterized by an hydraulic retractable soft-top, available in the buyer's choice of 8 different colors along with the various options for the interior and exterior colors, with a machined aluminum luggage rack and pop-up roll bars.Without doubt the Spyker Aileron C8 Spyder is an incredible car, a symbol of refinement, good taste and exclusivity
